Thank You for Attending the 2019 NC CEO Forum

November 22, 2019

First, thank you to all of our sponsors, partners, and attendees for helping us make the 10thAnnual NC CEO Forum a huge success on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the Raleigh Convention Center. Without our Title Sponsors, the event would not have been possible. Thank you to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Cisco, Fidelity Investments, and NovaQuest Capital Management. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.

In case you missed the NC CEO Forum this year, here’s a brief recap of what took place at the event under our 2019 theme of “Leading in a World of Disruptive Technologies”.

We started off the morning with learning the importance of leveraging today’s modern channels, reducing costs and managing organizational risk. Then, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper shared an important State Leadership Address on the most important topics facing our great state today. We were then given incredible insight and advice from our Featured Keynote Speaker, Founder and CEO of JC2 Ventures, John T. Chambers.

Following that, we heard from several accomplished panel speakers who discussed how to build a winning corporate culture.

During a brief awards ceremony, we presented Cynthia Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks and President and CEO of Marshalling Resources Consulting, with the ATHENA National Award, a highly prestigious honor from our featured nonprofit ATHENA International. This award honors and celebrates Cynthia’s many achievements and leadership roles. In addition, Wegmans received the National ATHENA Organizational Award in recognition of all that the company does to support female leaders.

From there, we heard from top experts on cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, machine learning in practice, digital relationships in the food manufacturing industry, and the important use of data to improve drug development and commercialization. We wrapped up the day with a discussion on how to futureproof enterprises while evaluating the biggest risks and opportunities.

Overall, it was an outstanding day filled with important conversations, strategic networking and advancing our knowledge of digital transformation to impact business outcomes across all industries. Again, we want to thank everyone who was involved in the event and we hope you all walked away with actionable takeaways to ensure your company’s future success in a world of disruptive technologies.
